Sad Boyz Edition Belico Cap
Our Sad Boyz Edition cap pays homage to early 2010s internet culture with a modern streetwear twist. The front panel features premium chain-stitch embroidery in a retro script that nods to the melancholic aesthetic without taking itself too seriously.

We source mid-weight cotton twill and put it through a full garment wash before cutting, so the cap arrives with the texture and drape of a favorite that’s been in rotation for months. The fabric weight strikes a balance between structure and flex — it holds its shape on the shelf but molds to your head after a few wears.

Sizing & Fit Guide
The Sad Boyz Edition runs true to our standard unstructured fit. The brass slider adjusts from 21 inches to 24 inches in circumference, covering most adult head sizes without requiring a break-in period.
Because the crown is unstructured, it sits lower on the head than a snapback with buckram reinforcement. If you prefer a higher profile, we recommend trying the cap with the front panels gently shaped outward before your first wear. The brim has a moderate curve — not flat-brimmed like skate styles, but less aggressive than classic dad caps. For those who also wear our pink colorway release, the fit is identical across both editions.

Styling & Care
Everyday Styling
This cap works across casual wardrobes because the embroidery reads as graphic detail rather than loud branding. We see customers pairing it with everything from oversized flannels and distressed denim to minimalist athleisure.
The navy base is neutral enough to anchor earth-tone outfits, and the script embroidery adds visual interest without clashing with patterned tops. Reverse the cap for a cleaner look when the embroidery feels too forward.

Questions About the Sad Boyz Edition Cap
An unstructured cap has no buckram or stiff foam reinforcement in the front panels, so the crown naturally conforms to the shape of your head. This creates a relaxed, slouchy fit that many people find more comfortable than structured snapbacks.
The Sad Boyz Edition sits lower on the forehead and has a softer silhouette. If you prefer caps with a taller front profile that holds its shape off your head, consider our structured snapback styles instead.
Yes, the Sad Boyz Edition is a limited drop. We produced a finite quantity in both navy and pink colorways, and once current inventory sells out, we don’t plan to restock this exact design.

We strongly recommend hand-washing only. Machine agitation can distort the unstructured panels and cause the embroidery to loosen or snag on other items in the load.
For routine maintenance, spot-clean with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, hand-wash in cold water with mild detergent, then air-dry over a rounded object to maintain the crown shape. Never use a dryer or iron the embroidered area.
The Sad Boyz Edition has a lower profile and more relaxed fit than a traditional snapback with a structured crown. The brass slider offers the same range of adjustment as a snapback closure, but the overall feel is closer to a vintage dad hat.
If you typically wear snapbacks and prefer a taller front panel, this cap will sit differently on your head. The unstructured design is ideal for people who find snapbacks too rigid or prefer a more casual, broken-in look.
The chain-stitch script embroidery is centered on the front panel, positioned just above the brim. The design spans approximately three inches horizontally and sits at a natural eye level when you’re wearing the cap forward.
There’s no additional branding on the side panels or back — the embroidered script is the only graphic detail. The interior label has a small woven Belico tag, but it’s hidden under the sweatband.
Yes, the brass slider closure and unstructured crown accommodate ponytails and buns. The back opening sits low enough that you can thread a ponytail through without the cap riding up on your forehead.
Many of our customers with long hair prefer unstructured caps because the flexible crown doesn’t create as much tension on pulled-back styles. If you wear your hair down, the lightweight fabric won’t weigh on your head the way heavier structured caps sometimes do.
The Sad Boyz Edition is currently available in navy (this page) and a limited pink colorway. Both versions feature the same chain-stitch embroidery and garment-washed cotton twill construction.
The pink edition has cream-colored stitching instead of the navy’s tonal thread, but the fit and fabric weight are identical. We may release additional colorways in future drops, but for now these are the only two options in the Sad Boyz series.
